With wood being the main ingredient, it is rather important to find local sources for the lumber we buy. Fortunately, the best woods grow right in our back yard and we don’t go very far. For the entire history of our company, 29 years, we have purchased the majority of our lumber from one local source, Lathrop’s Maple Supply of Bristol, Vermont. Tom Lathrop is located just nine miles up the road and supplies not just maple, but pine, cherry, and other species as well. Tom’s is a fifth generation business with a focus on local, sustainably harvested logs.
