Fresh Organic Apples & Pears Gift Box

A delicious fresh assortment of 6 organic apples and 6 organic pears. Grown on a five acre apple & pear orchard in Washington state by Jerzy Boyz Farms, a family run farm practicing simple, old-fashioned, hands-on, building the soil, low mechanization, SMALL scale, low inputs, natural organic farming! Dedicated to the movement away from toxic agriculture. (Oh, the name is because the founders came from New Jersey in 1979.)

The extraordinary tasting apples and pears come from customized composts, mineral applications, and foliar feedings (applying liquid fertilizer directly to their leaves). Delivering crunchy and crisp apples comes multiple carefully timed picking of only those apples which are fully ripe. No wax needed on these apples!

The selection shipped for you will be carefully hand picked and packed into a wooden gift box, and will contain the currently freshest of the following varieties:

BRAEBURN -The crisp Braeburn apple is both sweet and tangy, outstanding in eating quality and fantastic for cooking or cider making.

CRIPPS PINK - A newer cultivar, the Cripps Pink Apple (also known as the Pink Lady) is long-storing, firm, fine-grained, pink-skinned with white flesh, sweet and tart, very flavorful.

FUJI - the #1 seller in Japan is the best-keeping sweet apple in the world. Super sweet, super juicy, super crisp.

HONEYCRISP - this explosively crisp, highly-flavored sweet / tart fruit is the #1 apple in the USA today!

ARKANSAS BLACK PEAR - originated in Arkansas around 1870, extremely beautiful dark purple fruits are crisp and juicy, with firm yellow flesh. Highly aromatic and used for both fresh eating & cooking, it has a honey wine flavor.

PURPLE GODDESS - aka RED CLAPP'S FAVORITE, KALLE - early red pear with white flesh is fine-grained, very sweet and highly flavored. A dessert pear that is also good for canning.

SECKEL - the European "sugar pear." Small, brown russetted, extremely sweet, fine-grained, very juicy and aromatic, the Seckel is an excellent dessert pear and also ideal for pickling. True connoisseurs' delight.

DOYENNE du COMICE - a greenish-yellow fruit with light russet, the Doyenne du Comice is rich, sweet and finely textured. A premium dessert pear too delicate for cooking.
